- Remove your swimsuit as soon as possible after use
- Soak the swimsuit in cold water for at least 30 minutes
- Rinse in cold water to remove small particles such as sand
- Hand wash your swimsuit. Plain water may not be enough to wash it properly, so add a tablespoon of liquid detergent. The latter one is preferable to a powder because this might not dissolve completely.
- Lay out or hang dry in a shady spot, since sunlight can endanger your swimsuit.
- Lastly, experts recommend to have more than one swimsuit in order to let them rest between wearings, thus helping the Lycra/Spandex yarn regain its memory shape.
A wrong washing process can spoil your swimsuit as well, so it is important to NOT use the following:
- Bleach
- Washing Machine
- Dryer
- Iron
